My Background
I was mentored by an established designer while working for a small ad agency near Cleveland following high school. Upon moving to Portland in 1978, I joined a vitamin manufacturer as a print designer/ad man. The economy of the early 1980s led me to freelance, building longstanding clientele in the wood products and restaurant industries.
It’s rewarding to see my design work on TV, billboards or in print. Seeing someone wearing one of my t-shirt designs in another part of the country is gratifying as well.
